Jessica Weitzel
Jessica’s passion for feline medicine began early in life and led her to pursue a career dedicated exclusively to cats in 1998. She received extensive hands-on training under board-certified veterinarians and skilled technicians, developing expertise in wellness care, surgery, anesthesia, emergency medicine, geriatric care, diagnostics, and client education.
In 2003, Jessica co-founded a veterinary hospital and played a pivotal role in building it from the ground up. She helped establish the operational systems, medical standards, team culture, and client and patient experience that contributed to the hospital’s long-term success and reputation for high-quality feline care. From the beginning, she has been committed to creating a low-stress; compassionate environment where pets and their families feel supported, informed, and genuinely cared for.
In 2023, Jessica transitioned into multi-site veterinary leadership and began overseeing multiple hospitals throughout the Houston and Katy area, including Wilcrest Animal Hospital. In this role, she supports hospital performance across several locations, focusing on operational consistency, leadership development, and elevating both medical standards and client and patient experience. At Wilcrest Animal Hospital, she has played a key role in strengthening team structure, improving workflow efficiency, and fostering a culture centered on accountability, communication, and compassionate care. Across all locations, she works closely with teams to mentor staff, develop leaders, and ensure a consistent gold standard of veterinary medicine and client service.
Jessica is passionate about developing high-performing teams and future leaders within veterinary medicine. She is dedicated to fostering hospital cultures that prioritize medical excellence, compassionate care, and meaningful relationships with clients and their pets. She believes that exceptional veterinary medicine and an exceptional client and patient experience are inseparable.
Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, working out, gardening, and spending time with her husband, two children, two German Shepherds, a cat, and a bunny.
