Doctors
Dr. Jane P. Milan Owner, Lead Veterinarian I graduated from the University of Illinois Veterinary College in 1983 and also completed my undergraduate studies there. I migrated south to Houston and worked for two years at a busy, small animal practice before opening Wilcrest Animal Hospital in 1985. I have greatly enjoyed building and improving the practice. My husband John and I share our home with our three children - Lauren, Matt and Megan. Our animal kids include a Welsh Corgi "Gus" and a German Shepherd "Tess" as well as four cats - "Gunner", "Teddy", "Panda" and "Figaro". Our exotic friends include two Ball Pythons, two Water Dragons, a land turtle, two parakeets, three fish tanks and a very loud Eclectus Parrot, "Lipstick" and my senior Quarter Horse, "Classy". I continue to enjoy the challenges of practice ownership and of difficult internal medicine cases as well as surgery. My interests include horseback riding and volunteer activies at my children's schools.
Dr. Margaret C. Wise Associate Veterinarian I am an Aggie vet that earned both my undergraduate degree and DVM from Texas A&M. I have worked at Wilcrest Animal Hospital for my entire career and can't imagine practicing anywhere else. I love the family-like qualities of this hospital as well as the high level of medicine that the staff practices. My greatest joy is teaching owners about their new puppy or kitten and helping that special "senior" pet to live a better life during their "golden" years. At home I enjoy the company of my three dogs, Rock and Roxie and Reggae, and my cat, Burr Kitty. I also have a Thoroughbred gelding, Manny, that I enjoy training and riding English dressage (between sugar cubes and carrots of course!). My husband and I also enjoy competing our labs Rock and Reggae, in hunt and field trials. Rock is the proud holder of his Hunting Retriever and Upland Hunter titles. I am also a certified scuba driver, and whenever I can find time to spare, you will find me "blowing bubbles" and enjoying the exotic wonders and beauty of marine life.
Receptionists
Holly Receptionist Hi, my name is Holly and I am a receptionist at Wilcrest Animal Hospital.I have worked at Wilcrest Animal Hospital since 2004. I have two beautiful children, Lauren and Olivia, a pomeranian named "Sprocket" and I recently adopted a kitty from the clinic. My children named her "Snow White".
Denisse Receptionist My name is Denisse and I love working at Wilcrest Animal Hospital. I discovered my love for animals working as a receptionist at an animal medical centre in Alexandria, Virginia. After two years of working there, my family moved to Houston, Texas. It’s definitely a big change from Virginia and New York where I grew up but I love new experiences. I’m looking forward to all of the great interaction I’ll have with the animals I love at Wilcrest Animal Hospital.
Bonnie Receptionist Hi, my name is Bonnie and I have recently moved to Houston from Lafayette, Louisiana. I love working with animals and can’t wait to meet your pet. I enjoy shopping and music in my spare time.
Technicians
Valentina Veterinary Technician My name is Valentina and I am a Veterinary Technician. I have been working with "furry children" for over six years and can not imagine a more rewarding career. I live with a beautiful Husky and several bossy and overbearing cats. I have a son named Guillermo who is growing up to be superman. I enjoy spoiling the babies and mothering the sick animals. Working with our clients to keep their babies healthy and looking their best keeps me busy and fulfilled.
Christi Veterinary Technician Hi, I am Christi and I am a Veterinary Technician. I have worked at Wilcrest Animal Hospital since 2002. My pets include a Basset Hound and four cats. I also have a son, Marshall. I enjoy everything about my job, but especially doing X-Rays and taking care of sick animals.
Robert Veterinary Technician My name is Robert. Being a technician, since 1996, is the best career anyone could choose. I have several furry family members of my own. I have a Welch corgi mix named Zen and four indoor cats: Bounce, Plato, Bo-Bo, and Blue-Belle. I am happily married with one elementary age daughter. I love working at Wilcrest Animal Hospital with such a high quality and compassionate staff. Hope to meet you soon.
Kennel
Tammy Kennel Manager Hi, my name is Tammy and I am the Kennel Manager here at Wilcrest Animal Hospital. I have worked at Wilcrest Animal Hospital since 2001. My pets include a Rat Terrier, "Trixie", a cat "Buddy" and a bird named "Zoie". I enjoy working with all animals and ensuring that they enjoy themselves while they are boarding here. Chris My name is Chris and I have been working at Wilcrest Animal Hospital since August 2006. I especially enjoy seeing movies, music, art and playing cards. I have two brothers and a sister. I also have a Shepard mix named Travis, 2 cats named Mr. Bigglesworth and Palomine and a tarantula named Captain America.
Support Team
Sophie Senior Supervisor Sophie is a very busy individual and a vital part of life at Wilcrest Animal Hospital. Her many jobs include greeting the clients and supervising staff meetings. Her hobbies include being worshipped and adored. She loves gifts and massages.
John Milan Management Team Member I have been with the practice since 1990 and am married to Dr. Milan. I am a multi-talented part of the team as I am in charge of what everyone else doesn't want to do _ accounting and maintenance of the facility. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries, but have changed my primary profession to aviation. I fly full-time as a pilot for American Jet International doing on-demand charter in a Citation III jet. My interests include keeping up with the kids and their activities, camping, fishing and taking care of our exotic pets at home.
